Peru’s Vinak Family Program
Forget Disneyland and Epcot – take the family to a great cultural destination with plenty of activity for riders, nonriders and kids. Your trip begins with a city tour of Lima and an introduction to the Peruvian culture. The next morning you are transferred by vehicle to the remote village of Vinak, about a four and half hour drive south and east. Arriving at your private luxury eco lodge, you will be amazed at the views from its perched position on the top of a hillside.
Vinak has long been a favorite destination of Lima families as it is the ideal place to get out of the city and enjoy the natural landscape at its best. There are endless miles of roads and tracks for fun and active trail riding on either the Peruvian Quarter Horses or the majestic Peruvian Paso (ponies are also available). Situated around a deep valley whose river runs to the Pacific Ocean, this area is replete with lush vegetation and fields of wildflowers await you each day as you ascend to the top of the hillside trails and breathe in the view for miles in all directions.
The area is also exceptional for hiking and mountain biking and both are readily available. Should a family member prefer a two footed version of sightseeing or if you are looking for more activity after your rides each day, there is something for everyone.
Your lodge is well appointed with a an outside fire pit for evening storytelling, a tv room with video games and a good selection of movies, a welcoming Jacuzzi overlooking the valley and a chef that prepares mouth watering multi course meals each day. Dietary requirements are never a problem and special requests are welcomed.
This will be a trip the entire family can enjoy and create memories for a lifetime.
