Italy’s Tuscany Villa Ride

The rolling hills of Tuscany evoke tales of famed and powerful Medici family as their crest is ever present in every village and on the many Roman roads that meander through the countryside. This is the gentle land of soft breezes rustling the leaves on the olive trees and coaxing the grapes to ripen to their fullest before the harvest.

Enjoy wonderful rides through cypress groves and vineyards, long leisurely meals of fresh pasta, olives, cheeses and meats. This stationary ride give you the chance to settle in at Il Poggio, a luxurious hotel situated, as its name describes, on the top of a hill with breathtaking panoramic views. The terrace is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine after a fun day of riding.

The rides take you out in a different direction each day and you will marvel at well known sites such as the the famous Via Francigena, the road of the ancient Estrucans and Romans, Mount Cetona, an important pre-historic setting in central Italy with its myriad of natural caves and also the Castle of Radicofani and its history of occupation by the “gentleman bandit”, a Robin Hood of sorts.

This ride offers you the best that Tuscany has to offer as you will even have a free day in the middle of the week to do some sightseeing in Siena, Montepulciano or Val D’Orcia, or you may decide to indulge yourself at the local world famous spa, Fonteverde.
