Why Wait?
Dear Fellow Equestrian,
A long time client, Martha Jordan, called me the other day, and, quoting the old
Calgon Bath Salts TV ad, said, “Cross Country International, take me away!”
KAREN ON NEW MACHU PICCHU INCA TRAIL RIDE
Sometimes we need more than bath salts. If you agree, I invite you to look inside
this catalog. Every page. You are sure to find something that will grab you and say “I
have got to take this trip!”
Perhaps this is the year to attend the Equestrian
Olympics in Hong Kong to cheer your favorite riders on
up close, or ride one of the Wonders of the World, Machu
Picchu, so popular we have added a new Inca Trail that
takes you on ancient routes created by the Incas and
culminates with a unique view of Machu Picchu that is
seldom seen by travelers and that moves many to tears.
Also in South America we have several new rides in
Argentina, including a ride that crosses the majestic
Andes from Chile. This ride is truly an amazing journey as
it traces the footsteps of San Martin and his “Army of the
Andes” on his march to free the people of Chile from its
European monarchs. The horses are pretty nice too.
Our most popular ride in Ireland, The Galway and
Clare Trail Ride, has added a wonderful new itinerary
called Galway’s Castles and Monastic Ruins. This ride,
offered by Bertie and Nicola your kind and friendly hosts
take you and their wonderful Irish horses on a new route;
you’ll see fantastic castles, islands and ruins and will
truly help you deepen your discovery of Ireland.
If you prefer to stay in the USA, we offer two
wonderful new rides; in California and Virginia.
The California Wine Country Trail takes you through
Napa, Sonoma, and Lake County’s most famous
vineyards, the ranch where Seabiscuit lived and trained
with famed jockey Red Pollard, and along the Mendocino
Coastline for great beach riding.
In Virginia, try The Virginia Hunt Country Trail,
where you stay in a fabulous Inn on the National Historic
Regsiter, ride wonderful horses, and travel the
countryside of James Madison, Thomas Jefferson and
numerous civil war soldiers. The wine, food and
hospitality at both these locations are spectacular.
If you have always wanted to improve your
photography to better capture your memories, or truly
learn how to shoot our wonderful equine partners in
action, take one of our photographic workshops with
famed equine photographer, Nina Fuller. Based in Maine,
that she claims “has the best light in the world,” you’ll
learn how to shoot great images in all kinds of conditions,
on and off a horse.
Our new Safari ride in Africa will help you explore
and experience the Masai Mara and the pristine wildlife
that draw people to this area from all over the world. We
have also added an exciting ride in Tunisia which offers
all the luxury of any European city with the chance to
gallop through the Sahara.
Why wait? To choose any of Cross Country
International’s memorable rides call 800-828-8768 or
